First trip to Portugal was perfect in every way

Visiting Portugal has been on our bucket list for years but we were never confident enough to go on our own. When Culture Discovery announced their entree into a new country (ie: not Italy) we were in!
From the initial meet and greet at the Porto airport to the tearful farewells a week later the tour unfolded as if they had done it a million times. Cooking traditional dishes with Mina, drinking wonderful wine in the Douro Valley, and exploring a huge indoor market to shop for dinner ingredients all kept us excited to meet this new culture. Fortunately, English is widely spoken in Portugal, so there was virtually no language barrier.
Future plans may extend their range to visiting Lisbon so we’re keeping an eye on Culture Discovery’s vacation calendar.
